Companies like FTD.Com and 1-800-Flowers.com are acting as middlemen, charging you a service charge and then sending the order to a local florist in the delivered area., costing  you more money? The service charge is extra profit that is kept by the middlemen. It does not go to the florist who actually creates and delivers the order.

 

For example, Let's say you place an order with FTD.com, who in the industry is know as order-gatherers.  The cost of the arrangement plus delivery is .99.  This order gatherer adds a service charge of .99 making the total cost .98. However, the filling florist that they send the order to receives only .99 to fill the order with.  The middlemen keep the.99 plus also make a commission on that .99 order.  The filling florist has to fill the order for .99 MINUS a customary commission.  The commission goes to the order-gatherer not the florist creating the order.  This not only cost you more but also cost the filling florist more to fill your order.

 

If you had ordered from us directly for an order being delivered anywhere in Brevard county  You would have saved .99.

 

There are alot of middlemen companies out there. FTD.com, 1-800-Flowers.com, Bloomstoday are just a few. How can you tell who's a middleman or not?  JUST ASK!  In local phone directories yellow page ads,  and website information,make sure they have a local address and local phone # listed . Not just a 1-800 number. Or Web address.

 

It doesn't make sense to order from a second party company and pay 20% to 30% more for the same product being delivered in Brevard county, Florida.
